Catastrophic and unexpected hail storm hits Perth, Australia

On March 22, 2010 the biggest hail storm in 50 years hit Perth Western Australia causing flooding and massive damage to property and motor vehicles.

Today we know the damage bill for the storm reached $1.08 billion with 165'000 claims lodged with insurance companies and over 40'000 vehicles having been written off by insurers.

Window fitters, PDR Technicians and body shops have been tasked with repairing the damage with many panel shops short on parts, labour and time (being booked out for up to 6 months in advance.
