Melbourne hit with Hail Storms, Australia - December 25, 2011

On Christmas day Victoria was struck by huge hail stones, severe winds and localised flooding. Within hours over 2'000 calls were made to the state emergency service.

International and Domestic flights at Melbourne Airport were diverted to Sydney because of strong winds and lightning, while planes that were due to fly out were grounded.
